Well, this is certainly not 3d-printing.. but diy at least. Working on a button box using Bodnar BBI-32 and a ventilation panel i use on my 19″ rack.
The idea was to get something non-intrusive in front of me, under my desk. The mounting system is very solid and easily removable, but not very pretty. Some Velcro, angle irons and that´s it. Works quite good. Still w.i.p to build a mount for the actual card, building cables with connectors, adding some rocker switches and labeling. Maybe plan a bit nicer looking mount, just hard to match how convenient it is now. Literally a couple second job to mount.
Well. It´s almost finished and got to do some testing in game. Waiting for some rocker switches to arrive. Also realised, that 6 rotary encoders is just too much, so i will replace 2 of them with momentary (on)-off-(on) switches. Also pondering if i should replace 3 of the rockers with 6 push buttons. I think i´ll only use the on-on rockers for landing and taxi lights..
Finished for now. It works perfectly fine for my multipurpose use. I fly anything from airliners to fighters.
