Since I have been dabbling with 3D printing for a while at my local maker space, I have been wanting one at home. Easier, more convenient and less people about.
I ended up getting this Creality Ender pro. Fairly cheap at about £250, or there about.
It comes half assembled, and even if it is easy enough to assemble the rest, I do recommend you at least manage a couple of IKEA shelfs without turning completely Clarkson about it.
I have added some pics of the assembly, but can add more if needs be.
Now, what use is this besides printing trinkets and bollocks you say? Well, there is the is trinket you print for fun or to test or what not, but I design and make button boxes for racing and flight sims for example.
Having already done a couple before, it is easier now to do new prints with new designs. Test, discard ideas etc when you have your own printer.
I use a CAD software like Inventor or the likes. You can get stuff for free or paid, but most of them have a free personal student account or similar.
Can talk more about that in a different post.
Also, if you own a VR headset, you can print a new face mask. I own the G2 and have found a new mask that will set you closer to the lenses and create a feel of larger FOV. With air vents on the side so it does not fog up easily.
The only thing that stop you is your imagination really.
Come on then, do you have a similar hobby? Tell me.
