      The Warthog HOTAS is probably the best bang for buck in the next step up from the cheap section.

      It has been out some years now, but still proves popular and the quality is bang on.

      However, it is made for the Warthog, or A-10 as it is named. And as such it will have quite a few buttons, but it is never enough is it. If you fly DCS or other flight sims, you will find that you want more switches and buttons to play around with.

      Here comes the 3D printer, a circuit board from Leo Bodnar (I prefer these) and some toggle switches, momentary buttons and rotary encoders. But foremost, a CAD software. I use free version of Fusion 360 from AutoDesk. Assuming you know how to use this software, or similar, you can design pretty much what you like. Anyway, enough chitter.

      I am doing button boxes free standing and extensions made to be attached to the Warthog Throttle Quadrant.

       

      So here goes with the first test of an extension.
