Welcome all racers.
We want a competitive, fun and fair championship. What we don’t want is to have to sort out every issue on track via reports.
We expect all drivers to know the basic rules of sim racing and follow them (there will be a section below which covers most of these rules). We also require good driving standards and sportsmanship.
‘If you cause an incident give the place back to the car/ cars involved. Even if this means you lose several places in the process. Drivers that don’t will be heavily penalized, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED’.
Information, Server Settings & Driver Assist Setting’s
Drivers are required to use their real name for every GOMG race. No special signs are allowed to be used as your driver name on the GOMG RF2 server. This is to prevent issues with server commands.
In case of any issues, you should contact the GOMG admins on our Discord or via a private message.
This is where drivers will have direct communication with the race stewards and admins, discuss current races, talk about setups, sim racing advice or just chatting about anything else.
All “game assisted driver aids” are disabled with the exception of automatic clutch.
Custom car setups are always allowed unless stated otherwise.
Drivers are required to have a stable internet connection.
All drivers should be using steering wheel & pedals when participating in the Races
Pressing escape during a race will result in you being classed as DNF and you will not be able to re-join the race once it has started. (You will be able to join the next race in the warmup session).
Success Ballast and Hybrid activations
Hybrid activations can not be controlled by the server and so will be free for all to use as the system is set in the game. We will add ballast as pr the following list.

Ballast will be added pr race for finishers from 1st to 10th place. This means you will carry the ballast based on your last finish. It will not stack, so maximum ballast added is 75kg. From weekend 2 the ballast will be given at start of the race weekend depending on your Championship position, then by the finishing of your previous race.
All drivers will be required to be present during warmup for this. Drivers not present during this period will be placed at the back of the grid.
Stewarding
Our aim is to keep this to a bare minimum. As previously stated we expect all drivers to know the basic rules of sim racing and have a good driving standards and sportsmanship We hope that this is not required and can be resolved by the drivers in the forms of giving positions back and apologies.
If its needed for GOMG stewards to get involved any decisions regarding penalties are final and NOT subject to appeal, these will be looked at by a minimum of 3 people and will not include any admin involved in the incident
GOMG Race stewards reserve the right to disqualify, penalise, remove or permanently ban any driver who is found to be driving in a dangerous manner and fails to improve once warned by the race stewards.
Reporting Incidents
In the event that you are involved in an incident on or off the race track which you feel needs bringing to a admins attention please send a direct message to an admin
The incident message should include the following: Your Real/Discord Name, list the other drivers involved in the incident, as well as a brief description of the incident,
Any race incidents should be reported by 11pm the next day after a race event, any incidents reported after that time might not be reviewed.
Participation
Drivers who wish to take part in the GOMG BTTC Championship must fill out the required sign-up form. This will be located under the section for that series, and then in the #sign-up page,
General Rules, Driving Equity & Penalties
Drivers are expected to:
ACT respectfully and responsibly towards their fellow drivers, we ‘DO NOT’ tolerate any insults towards another driver or any type or any type of intentional wrecking or revenge attack. Any issues/ incidents should be reported to the GOMG team who will deal with the incident directly. This applies when racing on any GOMG server, or when communicating via our Discord Channel and all other forms of communication. Bullying, harassment, insulting or wrecking is not allowed under any circumstance and will be dealt with survivor punishments and even bans from future events.
Cheating is completely forbidden, this covers exploiting bugs with the race software being used, e.g. rFactor 2, or running external software which illegally gives you a performance advantage. If a driver encounters or discovers a potential way to cheat, he must report it to one of the admins of GOMG (Programs such as SimHub or Crew Chief are not considered cheating and are perfectly acceptable).
INCIDENTS.
If there is an incident between yourself and another driver, we exspect you to wait and let the other driver past. (even if this means you lose several places). If you are unsure we still highly recommend to do the same. Any incident review where the place wasn’t given back and the driver in question was to blame, this will incur a more server penalty.
RACING ROOM/ CONTACT.
we expect to have close racing and even some door and bumper rubbing. This is tintop racing, but we also expect drivers to give enough room for all other cars on the track. Any car deemed to have intentionally force another car of the track will be heavily penalised if the position is not returned to the driver forced off the track.
DIVEBOMBS wil be classed as a high risk manoeuvre. If the move was made cleanly then we have no issue. Any wreckless moves which forces the other car to go off track/ spin or have any resulting issue will be assessed and penalised accordingly. ‘YOU’VE HAVE BEEN WARNED’.
Liveries. Custom liveries are allowed, Using another driver’s/teams personal livery is not allowed (unless with permission) and will be penalised or disqualified should it continue after being noted by the race stewards.
Hitting another car after a race has finished is not allowed, this is to prevent injuries/damage to the driver or their equipment
Unfair advantage.
Drivers involved in incidents where they are judged to be at fault or have gained an unfair advantage may find themselves handed a post-race penalty which will reduce the points they would have otherwise gained.
Chat.
Once a race or qualifying session has begun in-game chat or voice chat should be kept to a minimum, with the exception of informing the race stewards of a major issue such as a driver being unable to join.
Track limits.
The track limits are defined by the track settings in the simulator, in the event that there is obvious track limits abuse being observed before the start of qualifying the Race Stewards will make an announcement regarding what IS and IS NOT acceptable before the race event in discord. Anyone found ignoring this will be penalised.
As a general rule the track limit will be considered either the white line or the outer edge of the track’s kerbs unless stated otherwise by a Race Official before the start of qualifying. If all 4 tires are beyond either the white line or kerb then the driver will be deemed to be off track in case of an incident review. Implementation of this rule is at the Stewards discretion.
FLAGS.
If during qualifying you are either on an out or in lap, and you get a Blue Flag, then a driver behind you is on a qualifying lap, you must get out of the way as quickly as possible, even quicker than during a race if possible, so as not to affect their lap time. If you do not move out of the way and the driver reports you to the race officials, it could result in you being given a post-race penalty as punishment.
If you have started your timed lap and the countdown for the session has reached zero, you will be able to continue your lap and it will still count.
Drivers must respect any flags being flown, e.g. if a blue flag is being shown at you then you must try and let the car/cars behind you overtake in a safe and timely manner. Failure to comply with this will result in a penalty. If a driver is not sure how to let someone pass safely then they should stick to the racing line and lift off the throttle on the next straight and be predictable in your driving, no erratic movements.
Loss of Control/ Safe Re-join.
If a driver ends up being stationary facing the wrong way on track, for example as a result of a spin or incident, ‘BEFORE’ you try to face the correct direction to continue the race you must first ‘WAIT’ for a safe gap to spin the car around, if other drivers are about to overtake you then you must wait for a safe gap once those drivers have passed. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you attempt to spin your car around when there is another driver approaching you on track.
If a driver ends up off the track entirely – either by loss of control, a spin or being pushed in some way, BEFORE re-joining the track or attempting to spin around so you face the correct way, you must first be aware of the drivers still on the track, once you have found a gap you deem safe to re-join in, re-join carefully, and do not drive fully across the track as you re-join, as a driver coming up fast behind you would be unaware of you being there and they will have nowhere to go. This rule applies to ANY event, practice, qualifying or the race.
In the event that a driver is spinning/has a crash and is either still on the track or is about to rebound back onto the track out of control, they ‘MUST HOLD THEIR BRAKE FULLY’, this will let the Race Stewards know in the event of that incident being reported that you did everything you could to bring the car to a stop safely, drivers who only press their clutch pedal and then rejoin the track/ end up crossing the track in an unsafe manner will be penalised.
Pit entry & exit Drivers must always follow the white line for and NOT cross it
Overtaking The overall responsibility for a safe overtake rests with the driver attempting to overtake. If the attacking car has more than half his car alongside the defending car, then the defending car must give him a car’s width into the corner and not crowd him off the track. If you have less than half your car alongside then the defending car has no requirement to give you room into the corner.
Damage In the event that you are driving a damaged car back to the pits, where possible stay off the racing line so you do not impede any drivers approaching you at racing speed, if you are genuinely struggling for control, you will not be penalised for ignoring track limits for the safety of other cars around you until you get back to the pits. (This does not include in game track limits).
